How does one go about assessing a student’s speaking capabilities? What activities can we incorporate? What are some things we can do to better help students understand their strengths and weaknesses? How can we manage assessing students of various levels without tripling our workload? Join us to learn more about these challenges.

This webinar will help teachers better understand how to assess students in a mixed level class with an in-depth comparison of the differences between the CLB speaking levels. It will give teachers some ideas on things they can do to cut back on the rubric creations for individual levels and skills, as well as some consistent activities usable throughout various modules.

Participants will learn about:

• the key differences between the various speaking levels and sections,
• a rubric that encompasses various levels and is good for evaluation and assessments, and
• sample tasks to use in any module, and the terms for evaluation and assessments.
